I have been so sick this week. Fever, chills…the worst. Finally feeling 100% like myself again so I wanted to share how the Bluebonnet Festival was in Chappell Hill, TX.
The drive was long, but we love road trips, so it wasn’t so bad. When we got to Chappell Hill though, so much traffic. People were pulling over on the side of the highway to take photos in bluebonnets. I actually thought more would be in bloom, so I was a little disappointed. BUT, when we finally parked and got into the festival, it was actually really nice and fun. Tons of food, vendors and activities for the kids. They had face paining, bounce houses and train and pony rides. E went into the petting zoo…twice.
Of course we had to get a funnel cake…
We walked down this road and found this cute little place. Tuns out, it was the library. This photo doesn’t do it justice, it was starting to get cloudy. Oh so cute.
After tons of shopping, playing and eating, E was super tired. We all were.
I highly recommend going if you can make the trip. It’s a really good family fun time. I also have to add, everyone in Chappell Hill was so nice and friendly. That southern hospitality phrase really shined.
Don’t forget this Saturday is Record Store Day. So go and support your local record store and buy some good music to dance in your home to! 🙂 We’ll be adding to our collection.
Have a great weekend!
